Please familiarize yourself with our shipping policies before you order. No one appreciates melted chocolate and we strive to insure that your order will arrive in proper condition regardless of weather conditions. Shipping is available only to the continental US and the fees are based on actual weight. The prices listed are the actual cost from UPS and we have no control over this. We do not upcharge our clients on any shipping rates. In fact,tTo keep rates low, we often absorb a percentage of the cost on Next Day and Second Day deliveries.
Processing Times-
We only ship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This is to insure that your package is not stored in shipment warehouses over the weekend. Because warehouses are not temperature controlled, such activity might result in the melting of your order. We reserve the right to hold any order for up to 2 business days to honor our production schedule and specialty needs of our shipping department. This is the insure that your order arrives in pristine condition and is as fresh as possible.
Standard deliveries-
We only ship UPS, and unless otherwise requested, all shipment are sent UPS GROUND. Please keep in mind that while it is not a guaranteed service, UPS GROUND could take up to 4 business days for deliveries on the West Coast, and up to 7 business days for deliveries on the East Coast. If you would like to request a tracking number, you can do so by emailing info@eclipsechocolat.com. Because our shipping department is only open from 9-4 (Mon-Fri), we cannot provide accurate shipping information if you call our cafe outside of these hours (Pacific Standard Time).
Expedited deliveries-
Expedited deliveries are available, see checkout for options. All expedited deliveries are subject to an extra business day for processing.
Warm Weather Considerations-
To insure the integrity of your order, we must protect your shipment from exceeding melting temperature. If your destination exceeds 75°, we will suggest that you upgrade your shipment to 2nd Day Air. All of our products are temperature sensitive and may melt in warm weather conditions. If we determine that your order cannot ship with the method you have selected, we will contact you for payment to upgrade your shipping for faster service. If you cannot be reached for additional payment, we reserve the right to hold your order until temperature conditions are suitable for shipment.
When temperatures are above 75°, we provide cooling materials free of charge necessary to preserve the integrity of your chocolate.
Errors in Placing Your Order-
The details of your name billing address, shipping address and mode of payment are critical. We cannot be responsible for errors in information that are provided to us. Costs resulting from such errors will be charged to you, and UPS charges an additional $10 for return or redelivery of your package. The accuracy of the shipping information you provide is crucial in making sure your delivery is prompt. Eclipse cannot be held responsible for returns caused by incomplete or erroneous delivery instructions.
